As a retiree, you may find that you spend much more freely from Social Security and pensions than you do from savings. This is a behavioral pattern, not a financial one. The hesitation isn't about the money. It's about permission.

Many of my clients need a moment to figure out that you don't need to ask for permission! Retirement is here! Or, as the man said, "School's out, forever!"

After all, wealth isn't just about accumulation but about creating meaningful experiences. If you've built a stable financial strategy, a long dinner with people who matter isn't an indulgence. It's the point.

You've been good with your money, and retirement is the time when you can enjoy yourself a little, and we hope you have been.
