Summary of Essential Duties
The purpose of the Paraplanner is to provide superior customer service and to assist advisors with
investment and financial planning reports and preparation. The paraplanner must be committed to gaining
a broad base of knowledge across all client-related functions of the business, including investments,
insurance, retirement analysis, taxation, and estate planning. This person is comfortable interacting with
clients, with a strong ability to address client needs in a timely manner. Ideal for anyone on track to obtain
their CFP® Certification.

Financial Planning and Investment Process
• Prepare all Investment Policy Statements and distribute to client(s)
• Maintain an accurate record of Investment Policy Statements
• Prepare Investment Review, Tax, and Insurance Reports, and Financial Plans for all client
meetings
• Evaluate client-submitted financial planning update materials (i.e., insurance statements, benefits
statements, expense reports, earnings, mortgage information, etc.) for correctness and completion
• Enter data in financial planning software. Including eMoney and Holistiplan
• Coordinate information with clients when there are questions about data accuracy
• Prepare financial planning update report for advisor’s final review
• Update planning software account balances on a continual basis
• Maintain necessary continuing education credits

Client Services
• Thoughtfully assist in the management of all elements of the Client Experience
• Provide consistent and knowledgeable client communication
• Schedule and prepare agenda for review meetings, as well as Client Experience strategy meetings
• Plan educational events with team members

Operations
• Open new accounts, including complex accounts (i.e., trusts, conservatorships, guardianships) and
provide accompanying paperwork
• Initiate, process, and track all account transfers
• Initiate, process, and track all Client Service paperwork
• Maintain accounts and process necessary account forms and any

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
• Bachelor's Degree (in business preferred).
• On track to obtain the CFP® Certification
• Minimum of one (1) year of financial services industry experience
• Minimum of two (2) years in a client service/operations role
• Strong problem resolution skills
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
• Exceptional organizational skills; ability to multitask, follow up with and meet deadlines
• Highly competent computer skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of
eMoney and Hollistiplan is a plus.
• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
• Positive attitude, personal organization, and the ability to handle a heavy workload
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Energetic, eager to learn, and willing to cooperate

Physical Demands
• There is little to no exposure to hazardous environmental conditions
• Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic)
• There are no special vision requirements for this position.
